As our friends at HGTV proved years ago, real estate – and the personalities involved – make great television. It’s why almost every streaming platform has a huge array of housing-centered shows.

For those of us who survived the streamer’s account-sharing crackdown of 2023, here are some of our favorite shows on Netflix today. (Plus, you can also watch another home-centered show from yesteryear, “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” on the platform, too!)  

Hack My Home

This is the hottest, freshest summer show—for a good reason. Combining innovation, technology and creativity, “Hack My Home” explores smart renovations and intelligent designs to take your living space to the next level. Whether you’re a tech enthusiast or just want new ideas for your home, this show is a must-watch!

Think about it as “Shark Tank” for real estate. Home sellers across the country pitch their properties to four real estate investors. Each house has plenty of appeal – but some drawbacks, too. It’s up to each member of the quartet of real estate professionals – made up of Redfin CEO Glenn Kelman, Pamela Liebman, the CEO of Corcoran Group, professional football player Brandon Copeland and real estate entrepreneur Danisha Wrighster – to decide if they’re in or out.   

Selling Tampa

Welcome to the beautiful beaches of the Sunshine State, where the properties are as hot as the drama. If you’ve already been watching all the seasons of “Selling Sunset,” it’s time to meet its sister show, “Selling Tampa” starring an all-women, Black-owned agency. Watch Sharelle Rosado lead her team through Tampa’s booming market—it’s fun, fierce and oh-so-Florida!

The World’s Most Amazing Vacation Rentals

Feeling wanderlust but stuck on the couch? Join hosts Luis, Megan, and Jo as they explore the most extraordinary vacation spots around the globe. From igloos in Finland to treehouses with alpacas, this show serves all budgets and will surely give you a travel bug that only a Netflix subscription can soothe. Want more getaways? We suggest “Tiny House Nation” or “Million Dollar Beach House” may be right up your alley.
